Rev. Dr. C. Duh Kam
Rev. Dr. C Duh Kam's leadership roles in various religious organizations are a testament to his dedication and service. He has been the Senior Pastor of Chin Baptist Mission Church, DC, since March 2005. Prior to this, he served as the pastor at Thau Baptist Church in Thantlang township, Chin State in Myanmar, for four years. His leadership extended to the USA when he became the first General Secretary of Chin Baptist Churches USA (CBCUSA), volunteering for seven and a half years from December 31, 2001, the beginning of the CBCUSA, to May 2003 and from January 2007 to July 2012. He then worked full-time for six years, two three-year terms from July 2012 to July 2018. His compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to his faith have been the driving force behind his leadership roles.
Rev. Dr. C Duh Kam was the first President of the Chin Literature Society (ICLS), which was formed with seven international Chin religious organizations on November 15, 2014, at the Lairam Jesus Christ Baptist Churches, Lawngtlai, Mizoram, after two days of consultation. His leadership was instrumental in creating and strengthening the International Chin/Lai-Christian relationship and developing Lai literature and culture. This organization has been helping the Chins on the globe to be more united and understandable internationally.
Rev. Dr. C Duh Kam's academic journey is a testament to his exceptional intellectual prowess. In March 1985 and 1988, he completed his seminary studies with a B.Th and M.Div. degree from the Myanmar Institute of Theology (MIT), Yangon, Myanmar. His thirst for knowledge led him to the USA for further theological study in September 1991. He graduated with a Master of Theology (Th.M) from Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS) on June 2, 1992, and a Doctor of Missiology (D.Miss.) on May 17, 1997 from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He also worked as a chaplain at Spohn Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, for fifteen months and finished with five units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
